Update from Doc Appt on May 5th

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 10 day followup from the radiation treatment. I had a full body scan, which took forever, I actually fell asleep on the table. I was placed on something like a MRI table where this machine scanned my body from head to toe and it took about 45 minutes. The purpose of the scan is to see where the gamma rays of the radiation traveled. After that they scanned my throat area, where the cancer is located, to make sure the radiation was in that area and to see what thyroid tissues were left. That was a 10 minute scan. It was less painful and boring. I have to go to the doctor on Monday May 12th to get the results from the scan and I will fill you all in once I get a chance. Thanks as always for the support. Also to top the day off my very special friend went along with me to the doctor, awww!!
