My Birthday

When I thought about spending my birthday over in Iraq away from my family, I was very depressed. But on Sunday when I went to dinner with the guys I work with my depression went away. They had a table reserved for us and all. It was nice. I was set up I was never expecting anything to happen. While I was eating dinner everyone was talking to me to keep my mind off of what was about to happen to me. After dinner I was getting ready to go get dessert and before I could move I was told to sit back down. While sitting there out comes one of the guys with a big red and white cake with HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY GYSGT COLLIER on it.


I was so surprised and embarrassed in a good way though. I had to take a few minutes to get myself together. They set me up big time. It is wonderful to know that even though I am thousands of miles away from home I can still have a wonderful birthday. Yes I will post a picture of the cake.
