Dad

Well a few weeks ago I went to SC to tell my dad face-to-face that I was going to Iraq. He was kind of speechless. He did not have much to say for a few minutes. But he asked that I make sure to come see him before I ship out. I told him I was not sure if I was coming back to SC before I leave, but if I could I would. Well I called him tonight to let him know that I was coming home next weekend for a party and he was excited. I told him I wanted him at the party and he said he would be there. Before we hung up he said "I love you" and as far as I can remember my dad has never said "I love you" first, that meant so much to me. I can't wait to see him.
