I went to the doctor yesterday for my 10 day followup from the radiation treatment. I had a full body scan, which took forever, I actually fell asleep on the table. I was placed on something like a MRI table where this machine scanned my body from head to toe and it took about 45 minutes. Hello all today I received my 1st Thyrogen shot. When I 1st got it I was feeling fine but after a few hours, I felt jittery, fatigue, and had a bad headache. 7 hours later I am finally up and moving around and was able to eat come jello. I saw my doctor in Wilmington the other day and had another biopsy on the lymph node on the left side of my neck where the cancer is located. Everyday someone finds the bear and then places him in a new spot, but when they find the Bear they have to push the button to make him sing and dance. Here is a picture of the Bear. On day 4 I woke up with a rash over my body. I went to get some benadryl but they do not sell that at the PX. So I went to medical to get some and they could only give me a shot at 1st because of the amount of bumps I have on me and because they wanted to stop me from scratching them so much. I finally made it to my destination at 0201 this morning. I did not have a room, and I was so much looking forward to it. But they did give me a cot to sleep on in a tent and it was nice and warm in there. I showered and went right to sleep.

Thank God for this Day too. I am at my second layover spot before I get to the final destination for the year. I am not impressed with the layout but I can say that I am safe and I am protected. We arrived late at night so we could not see much but we did find the chowhall. Now talk about making an impression. I was very impressed with the chow. Thank God for this day! Here I sit in my 1st layover spot and I must say I am somewhat impressed with the way things are laid out. Everything is whitin walking distances ambe about .25 - .5 miles from our living spaces. It is amazing how different things are here than they are in Lejeune. I called my mom and kids 3 times already. I miss them so much.

We have been flying now for about 24 hours. I have never been so cramped before. While on the plane I had to go use the bathroom and I felt like the Tin Man when I got up.
